Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective as of August 8, 2025

At The Play & Say SC, a DBA of Dunn Right Therapies, LLC, we value your time and are committed to providing consistent, high-quality care. To ensure fairness and protect our clinicians’ schedules, we ask that all families review and follow the policies below.

1. Payments & Refunds

  • Payment is due at the time of service.

  • Because we offer single sessions and reserve your appointment time specifically for your child, we do not offer refunds for missed or canceled sessions, except as noted below.

  • If you need documentation for insurance reimbursement, we’re happy to provide a superbill upon request. Please note that we do not guarantee reimbursement from your insurance provider.

2. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session without charge.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

  • No-shows (missed sessions without notice) will also be charged in full and may result in removal from the schedule if repeated.

3. Illness Policy

  • We understand that children may become ill unexpectedly. If your child is sick, please contact us before the session begins to avoid a cancellation fee.

  • Each family is allowed one illness-related late cancellation per calendar quarter without penalty.

  • If your therapist is ill or otherwise unable to attend, you will not be charged and the session will be rescheduled at your convenience.

4. Teletherapy-Specific Notes

  • Please ensure your child is available and that technology is working at the time of the scheduled teletherapy session.

  • If a session cannot be completed due to a preventable tech issue on the family’s end (e.g., no internet connection, no device access), the session may be subject to the full session fee.

  • If tech issues arise from our side, we will reschedule at no charge.

5. Emergencies & Weather

  • In the case of emergencies (e.g., accidents, family emergencies) or severe weather, please reach out as soon as possible. We will always aim to accommodate genuine emergencies with flexibility.
